Soviet Union Tanks in Post WWI

During the WWII and post WWI era soviet armored divisions acquired significant victories in technological advancement. In WWI era Soviet armored  power was limited to few armored tractors, primary tanks like Tsar tank and Self-Propelled guns.

After the WWI soviet engineers anticipated the requirement of a heavy armored brigade and  started developing a series of light and medium tanks such as T -18, T-12 and heavy tanks like T-35.

With the beginning of WWII, Soviet engineers acquired huge victories with revolutionary tank designs. T-34 was the first on the list of most successful tanks ever build by soviet engineers. T-34 provided the blue print to develop T-54/55 tank in post WWII era. Up to the date T54 is the most produced tank in the world. After 75 years of service still some countries are using T-54/55 tank as their main battle tank.
